What If We Do Nothing?

We'll have to choose between our homes and education.

Tension will grow between homeowners and schools. School enrollment will continue to shrink as families determine they can't afford to live in our state.

People will be put out of their homes, placing tremendous stress on families.

Families will break up: seniors will be forced out of their homes, young families won't even be able to start owning a home, farms will sell off, decreasing open space, and the local economy will begin shrinking.

Local businesses will fail and jobs will be lost, so more people will fear losing their homes.

With less disposable income, locals can't spend at small businesses which then close or move. The downward spiral gains more momentum and communities break down.
